Danny Floyd Cole
I'm proud to boast over 12 years experience singing, playing guitar and performing live in original music projects in Alberta.
I began performing live in the Edmonton music scene at the age of 16, fronting an original three-piece punk rock band. Songwriting has been a big part of my life since I was very young and it continues to flourish in my life now.
I have explored an extensive list of musical personas, or roles if you will, from bandleader/manager, producer/engineer, to front man & accompanist.
Over the years I have developed my musicality on a vast selection of instrumentation including percussion & bass, piano, saxophone, baritone, drum sequencing, accordion, vocals and of course, guitars.
I work as an audio engineer/music producer @ Homestead Recorders. I've been at the studio for 10 years and have worked on countless projects ranging from albums, demos, jingles, corporate video's, electronic press kits, radio campaigns, audio for TV, corporate song development & production. As far as formal education goes, I graduated from the Radio & Television program at NAIT.
Currently I am the bandleader and front man for original rock band Coldspot. (www.coldspotrocks.com) We've released two full length CD's and continue to develop new material and perform live. I'm also the bandleader and for a new country rock project called Calan & Cole (www.calanandcole.com).
When I'm not working on production, performance, or marketing generally I'd like to be underwater scuba diving or working on the development of an independent television series called greatdives.tv (www.greatdives.tv), that is when I'm not hanging out with my one and half year old son Isaiah.
Believe it or not amidst all of this somehow I've found time to develop my skills in video production.
I shoot, edit, and produce; primarily working on corporate projects, though my passion has always been to work on music related promotional video such as electronic press kits.
